10 questions a day. Capital → state and state → capital. Fresh puzzle at midnight UTC.
Which state's capital is Olympia?
States and Capitals Quiz is a focused U.S. geography game built around one task: knowing which capital goes with which state. Each daily puzzle is 10 multiple-choice questions, mixing two prompt directions deterministically — "What is the capital of Montana?" (state → capital) and "Which state's capital is Pierre?" (capital → state). Same puzzle goes out to everyone playing on the same UTC date, so you can share a score and compare with a friend. For an additional challenge, open /map for the click-the-state mode where we name a state and you click it on the map. The Map mode plays through all 50 states in a deterministic daily order with a green/red share grid. The /daily MCQ remains the headline game though — the one most students and trivia players come for. The dataset is the 50 U.S. states with their official capitals: from Montgomery (Alabama, the historic capital of the Confederacy) to Cheyenne (Wyoming, the smallest state capital by population). The often-confused pairs (Pennsylvania → Harrisburg not Philadelphia, Kentucky → Frankfort not Louisville, Nevada → Carson City not Las Vegas) appear with deliberate frequency in the daily puzzle.
